Type Zero Carrier Fighter Model 52 5350
This Zero fighter is restoreing now in Florida by Mr. R.D. Wittington.
Curio quotient J.H.Elliot of Atlanta ,Georgia had this Zreo Fighter even recently.
This is one of Zero Fighter captured in Saipan in Jun,1944.
This Zero fighter was carried from Atlanta to Florida in 1991.
In Jun,1944 The American landed to Saipan,Then many Zeros were found, and captured.
They were carried by aircraft carrier "Copahee" to America.
The test flight which four of the degree were chosen than after the American arrival and which was fully understood was done.
61-120 The Air Museum Planes of Fame and 61-131 Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum
was captured at the same time.

今、フロリダのR,D. Wittington 氏がレストアしている機体です。
この零戦は最近まで、ジョージア州のアトランタの骨董商J.H.Elliot 氏が所有していたもので
１９４４年にサイパンで捕獲された１機と見られているものと思われます。
１９９１年に、アトランタからフロリダへ運ばれたそうです。
１９４４年に、サイパン島が陥落したさい、島に残されていた程度の良い零戦が１２〜１４機
スペアパーツとともに、小型空母「コパイ」にて、アメリカへ運ばれ、そのうちの特に程度の良い
４機が、海軍、陸軍に二機づつ送られ、徹底したテスト飛行が行われた。
この時の機体で、残っている物が、プレインズ・オブ・フェイムの飛行可能な６１−１２０号と、
ワシントンＤＣのスミソニアン博物館の６１−１３１号である。
壊れながらも、もう一機残っていたわけである。
